Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Welding Inspector to work on-site in Jamnagar, overseeing structural, tank, and piping works. Responsibilities include verifying materials and MTCs, conducting WPS/PQR activities, and ensuring compliance with codes and project requirements.

The role covers visual inspection of fit-ups and joints, welding surveillance, NDT coordination, test pack preparation, site audits, and hydrotest witnessing with daily client coordination.

Responsibilities

• Verification of materials, mill test certificates and confirming compliance to the code & company requirements during IMIR clearance.
• Conducting welding procedure qualification tests and maintaining procedure qualification records (PQR) for Structural, Tank & Piping works.
• Preparation of Welding Procedure Specification & conducting Procedure Qualification test at site per requirement.
• Verification of welding consumables BTCs & conduct necessary Qualification test at site.
• Preparation of Job procedure & ITP pertaining to Structural, Piping & Tank works.
• Periodical Site Internal Audits.
• Visually inspecting the fit up & welded joints of Structural, Tank & Piping works.
• Welding inspection (surveillance checks before, during and after welding)
• Conducting all NDT inspections and preparation of all inspection records.
• Coordination with Customer for necessary day-to-day inspections.
• Piping test package preparation, review, and site verification and punching the pending activities.
• NDT Clearance of Piping Test packs
• Hydrotest witness of Tank & Piping system.
