Hill International in Mumbai seeks a senior Quality Manager with 15+ years of civil construction experience to lead QA/QC on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) aligned with contract requirements.
• Establish QA/QC procedures, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and quality benchmarks.
• Ensure adherence to ISO standards and company quality management systems.
• Monitor contractor quality performance and enforce compliance with specifications and standards.
• Review and approve method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings from a QA/QC standpoint.
• Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and site surveillance.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and local authority regulations.
• Interface with contractors, consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors on quality-related matters.
• Lead quality meetings and resolve technical and quality issues.
• Maintain proper quality documentation including NCRs, CARs, and inspection records.
• Track closure of NCRs and ensure root cause analysis and corrective measures are implemented.
• Prepare and submit regular quality reports to project stakeholders and senior management.
• Identify potential quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project quality practices.
• Promote a culture of quality awareness across site teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as a Quality Manager with 15+ years of overall experience with strong experience in construction project management with High Rise buildings including Residential/ Commercial/ Hotels/ International schools etc.
• Must have managed at least 2 to 3 projects with complete project lifecycle from inception to handover.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experienced in working on a global scale.
