Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a Python Robot QA in Hyderabad to lead automation efforts with Robot Framework and Python. The role requires 6+ years of automation testing experience, strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, and collaboration across teams to ensure robust test coverage.

The candidate will work in a hybrid model, contributing to test strategy, implementation, and maintenance across platforms, with emphasis on non-functional testing and cloud deployment scenarios.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of automation testing experience with Robot Framework.
• Experience automating tests across platforms and full development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of test case management.
• Hands-on defect management.
• Proficiency in Python; CI tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Familiar with Selenium and GitLab integrations.
• Experience with non-functional testing, backup/recovery, DR, performance.
• Experience with Agile development and cloud deployment testing.
• Capital markets experience is a plus.

6 + years of Automation Testing tools Robot framework

Demonstrated experience of automating tests across multiple platforms and technologies and understand its application throughout the full development lifecycle.

Knowledge of test case management packages

Demonstrated experience of hands-on Issue and Defect Management.

Should have expertise in at least one programming language (Python, ) in addition to Continuous Integration tools (such as: Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

Knowledge and experience with modern testing development practices and integrated testing products such as selenium and their integration with tools such as Gitlab, etc.

Experience of non-functional testing as well as backup and recovery, DR, performance

Experience of Agile Software Development & Testing methods for deployment in cloud environments.

Previous development experience, cloud migration testing experience and Capital markets experience would be an added advantage
