Job summary

Constructiviq seeks a senior QA Automation Engineer to design and develop a QA automation framework, build and run test cases to ensure quality and reliability for every release. Location options include Pune or Bengaluru, with permanent employment and regular work hours plus occasional evening meetings.

The role requires 3+ years in functional/automation testing with Java and Playwright, plus experience with Cucumber, TestNG, Postman and REST Assured.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in functional/automation testing with Java & Playwright.
• Experience with Cucumber (BDD), TestNG, Postman, REST Assured.
• Familiar with Agile practices and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Analyze application requirements and specifications to create test plans and test cases in QMetry.
• Design and enhance automation QA framework based on Playwright, Java.
• Ensure quality, performance, and reliability of applications.
• Develop reusable automation scripts and maintain suites.
• Create test data and own test cases.
• Perform peer code review for automation scripts.
• Identify and report bugs and defects.
• Troubleshoot and debug automation failures.
• Generate and maintain test reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with development and stakeholders on QA.
• A strong team player who is willing to step in and contribute as a Manual QA whenever required, ensuring team goals are met without hesitation.
• Follow CI best practices (SCM, build automation, unit testing basics).
