Python QA Tester

Experience Required - 7 to 14 Years

Location - Indore/ Pune/ Bangalore

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Tester to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring the quality and functionality of Risk Tech Projects, and related integrations. This role involves working closely with development teams, business analysts, and end-users to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements. The plan is to automate the QA Testing and make it part of the regression suite that will be run for every future deployment.

Primary Responsibilities

Testing and Quality Assurance

1. Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for solutions, and related integrations.
2. Validate data accuracy, functionality, performance, and visualizations in UI reports and dashboards.
3. Test UI functionality, including forms, workflows, and business logic.
4. Identify, report, and track defects and inconsistencies using JIRA or similar tools.
5. Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected after updates or enhancements.

Collaboration and Communication

1. Work closely with developers, business analysts, and end-users to understand requirements and design test scenarios.
2. Communicate defects, testing progress, and results clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
3. Participate in requirement reviews and provide input from a testing perspective.

Automation and Process Improvement

1. Explore and implement test automation where feasible.
2. Continuously improve QA processes and strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Maintain testing documentation and create reusable templates for future use.
4. Build automated regression suite to be run prior to any deployments.

Key Skills and Competencies

1. Experience with testing web-based applications.
2. Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data validation techniques.
3. Familiarity with APIs and workflows.
4. Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
5. Hands-on experience on pytest framework and Locust testing,
6. Should be familiar with Allure reporting, Xray-Jira integration
7. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
8. Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. 8+ years of experience as a QA Tester.
3. Proven experience in testing data visualizations and low-code/no-code applications.
4. Testing Python Applications: Strong knowledge of Python and testing frameworks and experience with mocking, fixtures, and test coverage tools.
5. Automation using Playwright: Hands-on experience in writing and maintaining Playwright scripts.
6. Working Experience with GitHub and Github Actions : Proficiency in Git workflows and version control and Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

1. AI / Playwright MCP experience.
2. Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, PowerShell, or custom scripts for Power Platform solutions.
3. Knowledge of Azure services, including Azure SQL and Data Factory.
