JSW Steel Limited is seeking an Area Incharge to oversee quality assurance operations in the Iron Zone. You will lead QA initiatives, ensure adherence to industry standards, and drive continuous improvement in high-volume steel manufacturing.

The role requires 5–12 years of experience, a metallurgy/mechanical background, and relevant certifications. You will mentor QA teams, coordinate cross-functionally, and uphold safety and environmental standards.

Qualificações

• Requires 5–12 years of experience in quality assurance within steel manufacturing.
• Bachelors in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering; Masters preferred.
• Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or CQE are highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the quality assurance team within the Iron Zone, ensuring adherence to quality standards and manufacturing specs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor QA procedures and inspection protocols to maintain product integrity.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure ISO and other certifications compliance.
• Analyze quality data to identify defects, trends, and root causes for process improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to boost quality and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies within QA operations.
• Train and mentor QA personnel to build a skilled team aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality requirements.

This leadership role demands strategic planning, problem-solving expertise, and the ability to mentor and guide quality assurance teams to achieve operational excellence in a high-volume steel manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the quality assurance team within the Iron Zone to ensure adherence to JSW Steel's quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures and inspection protocols to maintain product integrity and compliance with industry regulations.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering departments to identify and resolve quality issues promptly, minimizing downtime and defects.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, equipment, and finished products to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant certifications.
• Analyze quality data and generate detailed reports to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for process improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental policies within the quality assurance operations in the Iron Zone.
• Train, mentor, and develop quality assurance personnel to build a skilled and motivated team capable of meeting organizational goals.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure raw materials meet quality requirements and support supply chain quality management.
• Manage documentation related to quality assurance activities, including non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and compliance records.
