Responsibilities
- Contribute to functional testing of all Calypso releases and also ensure that the regression test cases are kept updated regularly.
- Perform functional test of Calypso for patches and new functions and document test cases.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders regarding team progress, ensuring transparency and alignment with project timelines.
- Provide leadership and direction to the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Mentor and guide QA team members, promoting their professional growth and skills enhancement.
- Effectively manage all team activities by assessing and allocating tasks among team members, ensuring the timely completion of feature testing to deliver high‑quality software.
- Understand the business requirement by collaborating closely with business stakeholders and suggest test plan and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure that the test strategy and coverage aligns with the functional specifications.
- Work closely with the development lead in release planning and preparation including release documentation, change request creation and all other change‑management processes.
- Provide assistance to investigate and resolve issues escalated by the production support team related to Calypso configuration or functions.
- Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and take ownership of initiatives aimed at driving improvements and automating processes.
- Other tasks related to projects as directed by the manager.
Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of comprehensive experience in software testing, including a minimum of 2 years in a test lead capacity.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Fixed Income or Equity Derivative products, complemented by a thorough understanding of the trade lifecycle for these instruments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of testing methodologies and tools, with hands‑on expertise in testing practices.
- Understanding of front‑to‑back office business processes.
- Good hands‑on experience in SQL queries and proficiency in data testing.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of QA best practices.
- Very strong attention to detail; can work independently.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and willing to learn and teach.
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure / multi‑tasking.
- Strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Good team player; capable of working under a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
