Job summary

Luxoft Germany seeks a Senior Quality Analyst to join our client’s QA team for end-to-end testing of the Calypso-based OTC derivative clearing platform in Bengaluru. You will contribute to test analysis, design, and execution across IRD, Fixed Income assets, and trade lifecycle validation.

You will validate data, pricing impacts, and end-of-day batch processes while coordinating with BA, development, platform, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years QA/testing experience in capital markets with 2–3 years on Calypso.
• Strong hands-on functional/configuration knowledge of Calypso.
• Hands-on testing experience in Swaps (IRS/OIS/CCS), Bond, Repo products.
• Proven ability to validate end-to-end trade lifecycle within Calypso.
• Knowledge of Workflows, Filters, Report Templates and Task Station in Calypso.
• Experience with market data setup and impact on pricing and P&L.
• Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M for batch processing.
• Experience with reconciliation between Calypso and downstream systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and maintain functional, regression and UAT test cases for Calypso.
• Validate end-to-end trade lifecycle for Interest Rate and Fixed Income products.
• Automate trade booking and re-booking to validate workflows and data integrity.
• Validate static data, market data inputs, pricing and valuation impacts.
• Test EOD and scheduled-task processing; verify outputs and reports.
• Reconcile trades, positions and reports between Calypso and upstream/downstream systems.
• Raise defects with evidence and drive triage to closure.
• Build and run automated regression packs using CATT where applicable.
• Support test planning, change-request coverage and release sign-off.
• Collaborate on Calypso cloud migration testing.

An opportunity is available for a Senior Quality Analyst to join our client, a leading Australian financial institution, as a key contributor to the Test analysis, design, and Test Execution of their OTC derivative clearing platform. You will be part of functional quality assurance team of the Calypso platform, with focus on end-to-end testing of IRD, Fixed Income asset classed including trade lifecycle validation, settlements, EOD Batch across functional, regression and release testing, in close partnership with BA, development, platform and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and maintain functional, regression and UAT test cases for Calypso.
• Validate end-to-end trade lifecycle for Interest Rate, Fixed Income products covering Trade capture, lifecycle events, novations, terminations and clearing flows.
• Automated trade booking, Re-booking to validate trade workflows, including trade migration and data integrity checks.
• Validate static data, market data inputs, pricing and valuation impacts.
• Test EOD and scheduled-task processing; verify outputs, reports and extracts.
• Reconcile trades, positions and reports between Calypso and upstream/downstream systems.
• Raise clear, evidence-based defects and drive triage through to closure.
• Build and run automated regression packs using CATT where applicable.
• Support test planning, change-request coverage, test summary reports and release sign-off.
• Work with platform engineering on testing calypso cloud migration.

SKILLS

Must have

• 5 to 10 years overall QA/testing experience in capital markets with 2 to 3 years’ experience on Calypso
• Strong hands-on functional /configuration knowledge of the Calypso platform.
• Hands-on testing experience in Swaps (IRS/OIS/CCS), Bond, Repo products.
• Proven ability to understand, validate and test end-to-end trade lifecycle within Calypso.
• Good knowledge on various calypso objects like Workflows, Filters, Report Templates and Task Station
• Test market data setup including curves, quotes, feeds and validate their impact on pricing, P&L, and reports.
• Experienced in testing schedule tasks, batch execution from scheduling tools like Control-M
• Hands on with trade, position and cash / security reconciliation between Calypso and downstream/related systems.
• Solid test design, execution and defect management in release-driven cycles.
• Ability to analyse test failures and reconciliation breaks to root cause.

Nice to have

• Exposure to CATT (Calypso Automated Testing Tool).
• Experience with AWS Cloud, Database migration and Calypso version upgrades
• OTC clearing / CCP domain knowledge.
• Linux/Unix skills for logs, files, processes, and job troubleshooting.
• Jenkins experience for CI/CD, regression, and batch job execution/monitoring.
• Market data knowledge covering curves, FX, bonds, credit spreads, and feeds.
• Domain knowledge of Fixed Income, Derivatives, Backoffice, pricing, P&L, CSA/collateral, and trade reconciliation.
• Experience with regression comparison tools, CSV/file-diff utilities, or Calypso QA automation.
