Qualifications

Lead role experience (2+ years) in QA leadership.

Testing file-based data lake or Big Data solutions.
Migration/implementation of Azure Data Factory projects.
Strong ETL/data pipeline testing with Azure Data Factory.
SQL for data validation and test automation.
Familiarity with Azure services: Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Logic Apps.
Experience with test management tools: Azure DevOps, JIRA, TestRail.
Understanding CI/CD pipelines and QA in DevOps.
Experience with data quality frameworks like Great Expectations or Deequ.
Knowledge of Python or PySpark for test automation.
Exposure to Power BI or BI tools for test results.

Responsibilities

Lead QA strategy, planning, and execution for ADF data pipelines.
Design and implement test plans, cases, and test automation for ETL processes.
Validate data accuracy across source systems to target stores.
Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to ensure coverage.
Develop automated data validation scripts using PySpark, SQL, PowerShell.
Monitor and report data quality metrics and defects.
Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy standards.
Mentor junior QA and coordinate testing across sprints.

Key responsibiltes

Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity acrosssource systems, staging, and target data stores(e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake).
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business analysts to understand data flows and ensure test coverage.
Develop and maintainautomated data validation scriptsusing tools likePySpark, SQL, PowerShell, or Azure Data Factory Data Flows.
Monitor and report ondata quality metrics, defects, and test coverage.
Ensure compliance withdata governance, security, and privacy standards.
Mentor junior QA team members and coordinate testing efforts across sprints.
