• Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps to define quality benchmarks and release criteria.
• Monitor and improve defect leakage, test coverage, and timelines.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Own the defect lifecycle with clear documentation and prioritization.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and mentor junior QA members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of QA engineers to ensure thorough test coverage and timely releases.
• Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for manual and automated testing.
• Drive test automation efforts across web, mobile, and API layers using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to define quality benchmarks and release criteria.
• Monitor and improve quality metrics like defect leakage, test coverage, and test execution timelines.
• Conduct root cause analysis for critical defects and suggest corrective/preventive measures.
• Own the defect lifecycle, ensuring clear documentation, prioritization, and timely resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.
• Mentor junior QA team members and promote a culture of quality across teams.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in QA, automation, and testing tools.

Qualification and Required Skills:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and testing best practices.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or Playwright.
• Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
