Job summary

Kamaths Ourtimes Ice Cream in Ambernath is seeking a QA/QC professional to perform routine analysis of raw materials, packaging and finished goods to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.

You will implement GMP, GHP and HACCP, organize employee training on safety and quality, and maintain audit-ready documentation per HACCP and FSSC 22000 requirements. You will also coordinate with auditors and regulate bodies during inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Technology or related discipline.
• 2-4 years of QA/QC experience in food processing or FMCG.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analysis of RM, PM and FG to ensure compliance with specs and quality standards.
• Validate and verify critical procedures for new equipment, processes and products.
• Implement, monitor and maintain GMP and GHP practices to ensure food safety and quality.
• Organize training on GMP, GHP and safety protocols for plant personnel.
• Maintain documentation per HACCP and FSSC 22000 requirements and ensure audit readiness.
• Ensure calibration, maintenance and validation of lab instruments and production equipment.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine analysis of Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM) and Finished Goods (FG) to ensure compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct validation and verification of all critical procedures related to new equipment, new processes and new product introductions.
• Implement, monitor and maintain hygiene and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP).
• Organize and conduct training sessions for plant personnel on GMP, GHP and safety protocols to promote a culture of food safety and quality.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation as per HACCP and FSSC 22000 requirements, always ensuring audit readiness.
• Ensure timely calibration, maintenance and validation of laboratory instruments and production equipment to maintain measurement accuracy.
• Coordinate and liaise with external agencies, auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections, audits, and certification processes.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Food Technology or a related discipline.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in a food processing or FMCG environment.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Well-versed in GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSC 22000 and FSSAI regulations.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment, calibration procedures and analytical testing methods.
• Works effectively within cross-functional teams to maintain quality across operations.
• Competent in conducting employee training sessions on safety, hygiene and quality practices.
• Proficient in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with regulatory requirements.
