Job summary

TransPerfect is seeking a QA Engineer to safeguard software quality through rigorous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will work across web and mobile applications, develop automated tests and maintain the automation framework, and drive overall QA activities for releases.

The role requires strong understanding of SDLC, hands-on experience with Java and C#, and proficiency in RESTful API testing, Selenium, and Playwright within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a technical field.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer in software development.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience testing RESTful web services and APIs.
• Proficient in Java and/or C# programming.
• Experience with Selenium and Playwright automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and bug tracking (JIRA).
• Ability to design test plans and maintain traceability to requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Overview

Work with a fast-growing team at TransPerfect to guide one of TransPerfect’s flagship products. The QA Engineer, will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the software products through rigorous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SDLC, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be proficient in both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Description

• QA and test web-applications following Agile methodology guidelines
• Innovate and automate test cases with CI/CD and cross browser enablement
• Automate API (web services and RESTful), and backend database testing using existing and new tools
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
• Implement and maintain automation framework
• Coordinate with the QA lead on testing activities for given release
• Develop test plans, test cases on multiple projects of varying size
• Conduct thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure product functionality meets specifications
• Maintain QA documentation
• Document and track defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, improve efficiency and overall quality of the product

Required Skills And Experience

• Bachelor degree required
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in a software development environment
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
• Professional experience in JAVA / C# programing languages
• Experience testing RESTful web services and API's
• Experience with GUI driven testing as well as programmatic testing
• Experience with Continuous Integration systems like Azure DevOps, etc
• Experience with bug tracking systems such as TFS, JIRA, Azure DevOps etc
• Proven experience in Selenium, Playwright automation frameworks
• Experience in building and executing manual test cases and converting them into automated scripts
• Track record of QA Testing experience- demonstrated ability to write test plans with traceability to each acceptance criteria listed in requirements
• Experience in developing overall test strategy and plans for complex system implementations including a variety of technologies and design patterns
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field - computer science or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
• Development background required (.NET, JAVA etc.)
• Performance and Load testing experience is a plus
• Comfortable working across time zones
• Business process understanding
