Job summary

GlobalLogic Bengaluru is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (SDET) to own and advance automated testing for mobile and IoT-oriented projects. You’ll leverage Python and C#, with Appium and Robot Framework, in a collaborative, fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality software across devices and platforms.

You will drive automation strategies, integrate into CI/CD pipelines, and mentor others while ensuring robust test coverage and timely defect resolution.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or relevant fields required. Master’s Degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles.
• Hands-on experience as a QA automation engineer.
• Advanced programming skills in automation systems and databases.
• Proficiency in Python and C#; strong Appium and Robot Framework skills.
• Experience with Android/iOS test automation and mobile apps.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, CI/CD tools, and testing frameworks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as SDET to apply technical expertise to challenging problems.
• Lead QA automation efforts for mobile and embedded/device test scenarios.
• Design and implement automated test suites for mobile apps.
• Coordinate defect triage, patch validation, and post-release support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality processes.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or relevant fields required. Master’s Degree preferred.
• 7+ years experience
• Act in a SDET capacity to apply technical expertise to challenging problems
• Hands-On experience working as a QA automation engineer.
• Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
• Experience with programming languages including Python and C#t, and testing frameworks – Robot framework(Required) and Appium(Required)
• Experience in IoT and/or embedded devices and/or Mobile App experience, Skills & Abilities.
• Experience with software test methodologies, test planning, test automation, test tooling, and quality standards and metrics
• Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
• Experience in JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins/Docker/Git
• Strong experience with test automation and load testing tools
• Hands-on experience of automation of tests and monitoring and correcting them periodically
• Strong experience in Python and C# programming – Mandatory
• Experience in Appium and Robot Framework – Mandatory
• Very Strong experience in automation Test Optimization
• Experience with android/iOS devices test automation, from scoping requirements through actual launch.
• Strong organizational skills demonstrated ability to track multiple tasks in a past pace, highly collaborative, and dynamic work environment.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting/diagnostic skill and the capacity to think creatively under pressure
• Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
• Excellent analytical skills and Strong attention to detail.
