Responsibilities

Role Overview

Owns test coverage across web applications, APIs and financial workflows. The role is automation-first: manual testingis used for exploratory work and edge cases, while regression and release validation run through maintained automatedsuites.

Expects hands-on use of AI tooling to accelerate this work — generating and maintaining test cases from requirements, expanding coverage on existing suites, triaging failures and reducing flakiness — with the engineer accountable for the quality and correctness of what the tooling produces.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or equivalent frameworks.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to generate, extend and maintain test cases and test data, and to triage and reduce flakyfailures.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases and regression suites for web and API-based applications.
• Test payment workflows, reconciliation logic, financial calculations and transaction-related systems with a highaccuracy bar.
• Conduct API testing using Postman and REST Assured, and validate backend data using SQL.
• Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines and release validation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional experience in QA or software testing for SaaS, fintech or enterprise products, with amajority in test automation.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress or Playwright, and a programming language used fortest development.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate test creation, maintenance or triage.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and REST Assured.
• Intermediate SQL skills for backend data validation and verification.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution workflows.
• Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle, QA methodologies and defect management, in Agile /Scrum environments.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.

Preferred / General Requirements

• Experience testing fintech, accounting, payments or finance automation platforms.
• Exposure to testing non-deterministic systems — model or agent outputs, extraction accuracy, evaluationdatasets.
• Understanding of performance, security and usability testing concepts.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills, with attention to detail and a high quality bar.
