Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong MDM, ETL, and API testing expertise to validate data workflows and integrations across enterprise applications. You will design test plans, perform SQL validations, REST API testing with Postman, and ensure data accuracy and quality, collaborating with analysts, developers, and data engineers in an Agile environment.

The role is a full-time position with hybrid work options across multiple locations in India,

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of Software Testing / QA Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of MDM concepts and implementations.
• Hands-on experience with Match & Merge Processes, Survivorship Rules, Golden Records, Data Quality Validation.
• Experience performing Functional, Integration, Regression, and System Testing.
• Strong expertise in ETL/Data Integration Testing.
• Hands-on experience with SQL-based backend validation and data reconciliation.
• Experience validating data transformations, mappings, business rules, and data quality processes.
• Strong experience in REST API testing using tools such as Postman.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for MDM apps, data workflows, and enterprise integrations.
• Validate match/merge rules, survivorship, golden records, and data stewardship workflows.
• End-to-end validation of master data management processes and data quality controls.
• Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, ETL, and API testing tasks.
• Backend SQL validation, data reconciliation, and source-to-target verification.
• Validate data transformations, mappings, and integration workflows across systems.
• Conduct REST API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defect resolutions throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Prepare test reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics for stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for MDM applications, data workflows, and enterprise integrations.
• Validate Match & Merge rules, Survivorship Logic, Golden Records, and Data Stewardship workflows.
• Perform end-to-end validation of master data management processes and data quality controls.
• Execute Functional, Integration, Regression, ETL, and API testing activities.
• Perform SQL-based backend validation, data reconciliation, and source-to-target verification.
• Validate data transformations, business rules, mappings, and integration workflows across systems.
• Conduct REST API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent API testing platforms.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defect resolutions throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with business requirements.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Data Engineers to clarify requirements and improve solution quality.
• Prepare test reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics for stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support production validation activities and release readiness assessments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to testing processes and quality standards.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 6-8 years of experience in Software Testing, Data Testing, QA Engineering, or Enterprise Application Testing.
• Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and implementations.
• Hands-on experience with Match & Merge Processes, Survivorship Rules, Data Stewardship, Golden Record Management, Data Quality Validation.
• Experience performing Functional, Integration, Regression, and System Testing.
• Strong expertise in ETL/Data Integration Testing.
• Hands-on experience with SQL-based backend validation and data reconciliation.
