Job summary

Infoya Inc. is seeking an experienced QA Automation Tester to join our global IT solutions team in Chennai. You will design and implement automated test frameworks, perform API and web UI testing, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure quality releases.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of QA experience, strong Java skills, and hands-on expertise with Selenium, Postman, and Rest Assured. You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines and help advance QA processes in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• API testing with Postman and Rest Assured.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Familiar with SDLC, STLC, Agile and QA processes.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing of web applications.
• Develop and execute API automation test suites using Rest Assured and validate APIs with Postman.
• Create and maintain reusable automation frameworks following industry best practices.
• Analyze requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and cases.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, product owners, and QA teams.
• Execute manual testing when automation is not feasible.
• Log and track defects using defect management tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Validate data with SQL queries and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Experienced QA Automation Tester with 6+ years of expertise in software quality assurance, automation testing, and API validation across enterprise web and application platforms. Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, Postman, and Rest Assured. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices. Skilled in functional, regression, integration, API, and database testing with a focus on delivering high‑quality software solutions and improving test efficiency through automation.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end‑to‑end testing of web applications.

• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Perform database validations using SQL queries to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing initiatives.
• Generate test execution reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and automation strategies.
• Support release validation, smoke testing, and production deployment activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with CI/CD tools and version control systems
• Strong SQL skills for database validation and testing
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr
• ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certifications preferred
