Job summary

Genpact is seeking an experienced QA Automation lead to design and implement scalable automation frameworks for web UI and API testing using Playwright or Selenium. You will validate AEM authoring interfaces, DAM, and published pages, while mentoring a team of QA engineers and ensuring high-quality releases.

The role requires strong Java/JS/TS skills, API testing expertise with Postman/REST Assured, and experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of total software QA/Automation experience with hands-on testing AEM platforms.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript for test framework development and scripting.
• Hands-on with Playwright and Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• API testing of RESTful/GraphQL services using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Strong experience validating AEM content workflows, components, authoring interfaces, DAM, and published sites.
• Ability to craft end-to-end test strategies, risk assessments, and coverage matrices in Agile environments with Git and Jira.
• Excellent communication skills; exposure to cross-browser and cross-device cloud platforms (BrowserStack).
• Basic knowledge of accessibility or performance testing tools (JMeter, k6).

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Architecture: Architect, build, and maintain scalable QA automation frameworks using Playwright or Selenium tailored for web UI and API testing.
• AEM Functional Testing: Perform end-to-end automation and manual validation on AEM authoring interfaces (Sites, DAM, Experience Fragments) and published web pages.
• API Testing: Design, build, and execute automated API test suites (REST / GraphQL) to validate backend services and content integration using Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API modules.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of QA engineers, assign tasks, conduct code reviews, establish test standards, and track overall delivery metrics.
• Integration & Delivery: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing in shift-left delivery models.
• Quality Governance: Establish QA best practices, bug triage workflows in Jira, test coverage criteria, and release reporting dashboards for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 7–10 years of total software QA/Automation experience with hands-on experience testing AEM platforms.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript for test framework development and scripting.
• Automation Engineering: Hands-on expertise with Playwright and Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• API Automation: Proficient in testing RESTful APIs and backend services using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent API test libraries.
• AEM Validation: Strong background validating content creation workflows, components, authoring interfaces, DAM, and published sites.
• Process & Delivery: Demonstrated ability to craft end-to-end test strategies, risk assessments, and coverage matrices within Agile environments using Git and Jira.
