Job summary

PURETECH CODEX in Pune, India, seeks a Senior QA Engineer to own manual, functional, API, and automation testing across web platforms. You will design test cases, execute diverse testing types, and ensure quality before releases.

Collaborate with developers and product teams, perform cross-browser validation, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to automation framework development using Selenium, Playwright, or Mabl.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in manual testing, technical testing, and automation is mandatory.
• Performance testing experience is a plus.

Job Description: QA Engineer Senior

1. Manual / Functional Testing

• Perform full end-to-end testing of the website including ensure smooth user experience
• Design and create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements
• Execute functional testing including regression, integration, system testing, and UAT to ensure the application is stable
• Validate UI against Figma designs to make sure screens are accurate, consistent, and work properly across devices and browsers
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing using tools like BrowserStack.
• Log, track, and validate defects in Jira with clear steps, expected vs actual results
• Perform sanity and smoke testing after deployments and releases
• Support bug validation and root cause analysis during regression cycles
• Work across different environments (INT, UAT, Preprod, Prod) and ensure consistent validation
• Participate in Agile activities like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria
• Ensure early QA involvement during requirement and design phase (shift-left testing)
• Provide QA sign-off based on quality metrics and release readiness
• Advance use of JIRA confluence for matrices, dashboards.

2. Technical Testing (AEM , API, Integration, Data, Platform)

• Perform API testing using Postman, validating request/response, authentication, error handling, and data accuracy
• Validate integrations between AEM, CommerceTools, APIs (APIM), and third-party systems to ensure smooth data flow
• Perform AEM testing including components, templates, authoring workflows, content publishing, and rendering across environments

3. Automation Testing

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for UI and API testing using tools like Selenium or Playwright or mabl
• Build reusable automation frameworks and improve overall test coverage
• Improve regression coverage and reduce manual testing effort using automation

4. Performance & Load Testing (Good to Have)

• Execute performance testing for key user flows like PDP, Cart, and Checkout to identify slow pages or API issues
• Perform load testing to validate system behavior under high traffic conditions
• Identify performance bottlenecks and work with development teams to optimize performance

Note: Strong experience in manual testing, technical testing, and automation is mandatory. Performance testing is good to have.
