Job summary

Bounteous is seeking a detail-oriented Visual QA Engineer with 4–8 years of QA experience and strong exposure to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). You will validate visual quality, UI consistency, and responsive behavior across browsers and devices on AEM-based platforms.

You will test AEM Core Components, Editable Templates, and content fragments, ensuring alignment with design files and brand guidelines. Close collaboration with developers and designers is essential.

Visual QA Engineer AEM

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Visual QA Engineer with 4–8 years of experience and strong exposure to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The role involves validating the visual quality, UI consistency, responsive behavior, and content presentation of AEM-based websites and digital platforms across browsers and devices.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in frontend/UI validation, AEM component testing, and design-to-development verification, ensuring the final implementation aligns with approved designs, brand standards, and functional expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Visual & UI Validation

Perform visual QA testing for AEM-based websites, landing pages, and digital experiences, validate implementation against design files, style guides, and brand guidelines, check for layout alignment, spacing and padding consistency, typography, colors, icons and imagery, component rendering and styling, responsive design behavior across breakpoints, identify mismatches between UI design and implemented pages/components.

AEM-Specific Testing

Validate appearance and behavior of AEM Core Components and custom components, test pages built using Editable Templates, Experience Fragments, Content Fragments, and Layout Containers, verify visual correctness of authored content in AEM Touch UI, ensure content authored through AEM does not break layout, styling, or responsiveness, validate component rendering across Author and Publish environments.

Cross-Browser & Responsive Testing

Perform testing across multiple browsers and devices including Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, and mobile browsers, validate responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports, ensure no UI breakage, overlap, truncation, or inconsistent rendering across screen sizes.

Design Comparison & Content Validation

Compare implemented UI against Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch designs, wireframes, and approved mockups, validate image rendering, font usage, CTA placements, hero banners, navigation menus, forms and interactive elements, verify multilingual and multisite content presentation where applicable.

Defect Reporting & Collaboration

Log and track visual/UI defects in tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps, provide clear defect details with screenshots, screen recordings, browser and device information, and reproduction steps, collaborate closely with AEM developers, frontend developers, designers, and business/content teams.

Regression & Release Validation

Perform visual regression testing for new releases and component changes, support QA cycles for template changes, component enhancements, authoring updates, and brand refreshes, validate production deployments for UI consistency and visual quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Skills

4–8 years of experience in QA with a strong focus on Visual/UI testing, hands-on experience testing AEM-based websites/applications, strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, and design consistency validation, experience validating layouts, typography, spacing, images, buttons, navigation, forms, and content presentation.

AEM Knowledge

Good exposure to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), familiarity with AEM Authoring, Editable Templates, Experience Fragments, Content Fragments, Core Components, Author vs Publish validation, understanding of how authored content impacts UI presentation.

Tools & Technologies

Bug tracking tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps, design tools for reference including Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch, browser testing tools such as BrowserStack and LambdaTest (preferred), basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM inspection using browser developer tools.

Preferred Skills

Experience with visual regression tools such as Percy, Applitools, and BackstopJS, knowledge of SEO/UI best practices, accessibility basics related to visual design, component-based UI testing, experience working on enterprise CMS-driven websites, multi-brand and multi-site AEM implementations, eCommerce or marketing websites, exposure to AEM as a Cloud Service is a plus.
