Job summary

Genpact Ltd. is seeking an Automation QA Tester to develop, execute, and maintain automated UI and API tests using Playwright or Selenium with Java/JavaScript/TypeScript. You will validate web apps, AEM authoring interfaces, and REST APIs, ensuring quality releases.

You will work with Git/Jira, participate in CI/CD workflows, and collaborate with frontend/backend teams to resolve defects and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of software automation testing experience with hands-on exposure to AEM-based websites.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript for test scripting.
• Hands-on with Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API modules.
• Familiarity with AEM author/publisher workflows and DAM.
• Proficient in Git and Jira; knowledge of test case management tools.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Automation QA Tester with good knowledge of manual testing concepts and hands‑on experience in CMS Platforms to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will develop, execute, and maintain automated UI and API test scripts using Playwright or Selenium with Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript. You will perform functional and API testing to ensure high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Scripting & Execution: Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Playwright or Selenium in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• AEM Functional Testing: Perform end-to-end automation and manual validation on AEM authoring interfaces (Sites, DAM, Experience Fragments) and published web pages.
• API Testing: Create and execute automated API test cases to validate REST APIs, endpoints, and data payloads.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, log, and re-test defects in Jira, collaborating closely with AEM frontend and backend developers toward resolution.
• Regression & Sanity: Maintain test suites, run regression checks, and support release validation across staging, author, and production environments.
• Pipeline Execution: Trigger and monitor automated test run within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 2-4 years of software automation testing experience with hands‑on exposure to AEM-based websites.
• Programming Languages: Hands‑on proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Automation Tools: Hands‑on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver.
• API Testing: Practical experience testing REST APIs using Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API modules.
• AEM Validation: Practical experience with AEM author/publisher workflows and Digital Asset Management (DAM).
• General Skills: Proficiency with Git, Jira, browser developer tools, and test case management software (Zephyr/TestRail).
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Exposure to cross-browser and cross-device cloud platforms (BrowserStack).
• Basic knowledge of accessibility testing or performance testing tools (JMeter, k6).
