Job summary

OnGrid is hiring a QA Automation Engineer in Gurugram, India to strengthen our automated testing across web, APIs and mobile apps using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript. You will design, implement and maintain scalable automation frameworks and contribute to end-to-end product quality.

The role requires 2+ years of software quality experience, strong knowledge of Playwright, API testing with SQL/db validation, and familiarity with Git and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality with a strong focus on Automation.
• Proficiency in Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript automation tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands‑on experience in API testing using database validation using SQL.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.

• Analyze business requirements and user stories to create comprehensive test scenarios and well-structured test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and exploratory testing across web applications, APIs, and mobile applications.
• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Perform API, database, and backend testing to ensure end-to-end application quality.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects while working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, QA processes and overall product quality.
