Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a backend/data engineer in India to design, develop, and maintain Python-based data applications and services. You will optimize complex SQL on PostgreSQL and Redshift, build robust data pipelines, and implement serverless workflows with AWS Lambda.

The role involves data modeling, metadata management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will work across CI/CD, code reviews, and ensure security, observability, and cost efficiency across pipelines, with

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of hands-on software/data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python (and a framework such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL — query optimization, indexing, stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Redshift, S3, Lambda).
• Pipeline orchestration with AWS Step Functions and/or Apache Airflow.
• Data cataloging/metadata management using DataHub or similar.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of hands-on software/data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python (and a framework such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL — query optimization, indexing, stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, specifically:
  Amazon Redshift (data warehousing, query/performance tuning)
  Amazon S3 (storage, data lake patterns)
  AWS Lambda (serverless, event-driven processing)
  Pipeline orchestration experience with AWS Step Functions and/or Apache Airflow.
  Experience with data cataloging / metadata management using DataHub (or similar).
  Solid understanding of relational data modeling and ETL/ELT design.
  Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows.
