Job summary

Globallogic in Chennai invites experienced developers to join our multi-disciplinary teams. You will strengthen backend services with async Python, FastAPI, and scalable APIs, while collaborating with frontend engineers using React and modern tooling.

You will design data models, optimize SQL with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and BigQuery, implement end-to-end tests with Playwright or Cypress, and deliver features with quality in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Backend development with async Python and FastAPI.
• REST APIs with authentication flows (OIDC/SSO/JWT).
• Frontend basics with React and Node.js tooling.
• Advanced SQL queries and data modeling.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Snowflake or BigQuery.

Async Python: Production-grade Python 3.10+ using async/await, typing, and concurrency fundamentals.

FastAPI: Deep knowledge of routing, dependency injection, middleware, and API performance tuning.

API Design: REST API architecture, authentication flows (OIDC/SSO/JWT), pagination, and error handling.

Frontend & UI/UX

React Ecosystem: Strong React hooks, state management (Zustand/Redux), Node.js, and modern tooling (Vite).

Data Visualization: Building polished, information-dense charts and UI components (Recharts, D3, or comparable).

Data Fetching: Experience with TanStack React Query or comparable tools.

SQL & Data Layer

Advanced SQL: Complex analytical queries (window functions, CTEs), execution plan diagnosis, and performance tuning.

Databases: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (Citus is a plus) and GCP/BigQuery.

Distributed Engines: Snowflake, Databricks

Delivery & Engineering Practices

End-to-End Ownership: High autonomy to design, build, test, and deploy features independently.

Testing Rigor: E2E/visual verification using Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.

Caching: Performance engineering using Redis to ensure sub-second response times under load.
