Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a skilled database engineer in Bengaluru to design and optimize PostgreSQL in production and leverage Snowflake for data modeling, performance, and cost control.

You will work with Python (asyncpg, Alembic) in an AWS, EKS/ArgoCD environment, focusing on small, reviewable migrations and clean deployments, with nice-to-haves like multi-tenant SaaS isolation and dbt.

Qualifications

• Experience running PostgreSQL in production with advanced features.
• Knowledge of RLS, partitioning and query tuning for large datasets.
• Snowflake data modeling, performance optimization and cost control.
• Proficient in Python with asyncpg and Alembic migrations.
• Familiarity with AWS and containerized environments (EKS/ArgoCD).
• Nice to have: multi-tenant SaaS data isolation and dbt.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL in production with careful migrations.
• Model and optimize data in Snowflake for performance and cost.
• Develop Python services (asyncpg, Alembic) in AWS and EKS/ArgoCD.
• Ensure small, reviewable changes and clean migration practices.
• Contribute to multi-tenant data isolation and related tooling (pg_partman, dbt).
