Job summary

Manav Rachna International School in India seeks an experienced IB PYP teacher to deliver inquiry-based education aligned with the IB framework. You will plan, teach, and assess engaging lessons across transdisciplinary themes for young learners.

The role involves designing Units of Inquiry, differentiating instruction, and collaborating with PYP coordinators and families to support holistic development and international mindedness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related subject.
• IB PYP training or experience is preferred.
• 2–5 years of teaching experience, with PYP exposure an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum and inquiry cycles.
• Design and implement Units of Inquiry (UOI) integrating transdisciplinary themes.
• Use diverse teaching strategies to support differentiated learning.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative strategies.
• Maintain accurate student records, portfolios, and reports.
• Collaborate with PYP coordinators and teaching teams for curriculum planning.
• Integrate ATL skills and international mindedness; communicate with parents.
• Participate in school events, professional development, and IB training.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum and inquiry cycles
• Design and implement Units of Inquiry (UOI) integrating transdisciplinary themes
• Use diverse teaching strategies to support differentiated learning
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Assess student progress using formative and summative assessment strategies
• Maintain accurate student records, portfolios, and reports
• Collaborate with PYP coordinators and teaching teams for curriculum planning
• Integrate ATL skills, learner profile attributes, and international mindedness
• Communicate effectively with parents through meetings, reports, and conferences
• Participate in school events, professional development, and IB training
• Uphold IB standards, school policies, and safeguarding guidelines

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education or relevant subject
• IB PYP training or experience preferred
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience (PYP experience an advantage)
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for early childhood/primary education
• Proficient in using educational technology and digital tools
