Job summary

Achyutam International is seeking an experienced PVC Shift Engineer to oversee extrusion lines for PVC and HDPE pipes. You will manage process parameters, die gaps, resin formulation insights, and ensure ISO-compliant testing and quality control.

The role requires 12–15 years of hands-on experience with PVC/HDPE extrusion, along with PLC-based automation expertise and the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on a shift basis.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in plastics engineering or CIPET background.
• 12–15 years of relevant experience in PVC/HDPE extrusion operations.
• Knowledge of process parameters, die gaps and quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth production of PVC and HDPE extruder lines with downstream.
• Handle production of PVC-HDPE pipe lines from 20 mm to 450 mm with process parameters and die gap adjustments.
• Possess knowledge of resins (PVC, HDPE) and stabilizers; understand formulation for end products.
• Familiar with ISO-compliant test and lab equipment; ensure quality control and dimensional tolerance.
• Basic repair and maintenance knowledge (electrical/mechanical troubleshooting).
• Coordinate with shift supervisors and team members to address issues.
• Communicate equipment problems promptly and manage malfunctions.
• Operate PLC-based fully automatic extruder lines; familiarity with European machinery.

• Qualification - Diploma/Degree in plastic Engineering or CIPET from well-known institute

Key Responsibilities

• Shall be responsible for smooth production of PVC and HDPE extruder line with downstream,
• Person should capable to handle production of PVC- HDPE pipe line form 20 mm to 450 mm with process parameters, die gape adjustment etc
• Person should have knowledge about different resins like PVC, HDPE, stabilizer and formulation as per end product.
• Person should have knowledge about different Test and Lab testing equipment as per ISO standard
• Shall responsible for quality control of pipe, all product dimensional stability should be in tolerance as per standard
• Person should have basic knowledge about repairing and maintenance (electric mechanical trouble shooting)
• Work with team members, shift supervisors and all necessary personnel to take care of complications as they arise.
• Communicate with fellow team members to learn of any equipment problems or malfunctions, and take care of them as they come up
• Should be capable to handle PLC base fully automatic extruder line like - Krauss Maffei Davis standard, Role Paal or equivalent European machinery like Battlefield Cincinnati, Weber etc.
