Job summary

Pressfit in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance In-Charge with hands-on expertise in Plastic/PVC extrusion and pipe manufacturing. You will lead preventive and breakdown maintenance of extrusion lines, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and manage plant utilities including HT/LT panels and DG sets.

Qualifications

• Mandatory experience in Plastic/PVC Extrusion industry.
• Experience in PVC Pipe / Profile / Plastic Extrusion manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with extrusion machinery and plant utilities.
• Exposure to Windsor, Kabra, Theysohn, Milacron, Krauss Maffei or similar will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle preventive and breakdown maintenance of extrusion machines and plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Handle installation, commissioning and maintenance of extrusion plants.
• Maintain PLC, control wiring, drives, motors and electrical panels.
• Maintain plant utilities such as HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, compressors, chillers, cooling towers, UPS and APFC.
• Reduce machine downtime and ensure maximum equipment availability.
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules, checklists and breakdown reports.
• Manage critical spare parts and coordinate with vendors.
• Coordinate with Production for smooth plant operations.
• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians.
• Identify recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure maintenance activities follow safety and EHS requirements.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance In-Charge with strong hands‑on experience in Plastic/PVC Extrusion and Pipe manufacturing.

• Exposure to machines such as Windsor, Kabra, Theysohn, Milacron, Krauss Maffei or similar will be an advantage.
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and team-handling skills.
