Job summary

Siddab Ventures Pvt Ltd, an Indian food and grocery export company based in Ahmedabad, seeks an experienced Purchase Executive to own the complete purchase function. You will source, negotiate and manage all purchases, coordinating with warehouse, operations and finance from our Changodar office and during supplier visits.

You will travel to suppliers, build strong relationships, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining records and reporting weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any field with 3–5 years of direct purchase/procurement experience.
• Experience in FMCG, food products, Indian grocery or a trading company.
• Strong supplier negotiation skills and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of Indian grocery brands (MDH, Catch, Aashirvaad, Haldiram's, Amul, Daawat, Fortune, Pillsbury).
• Proficient in MS Excel, Google Sheets and WhatsApp Business; comfortable with independent supplier visits.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete purchasing function for the company.
• Source Indian grocery and FMCG products from suppliers across India.
• Collect minimum 3 quotes per item and negotiate best rates.
• Raise purchase requirements from sales orders and stock levels.
• Coordinate with warehouse, operations and finance for PO processes.
• Visit suppliers for quality checks and build relationships; travel as needed.
• Maintain supplier relationships and onboard new suppliers when required.
• Share supplier payment schedules with Finance Manager every Monday.
• Verify invoices against POs before payment.
• Submit a weekly purchase report every Friday.
• Maintain accurate purchase records in the internal portal.

Ahmedabad. We export Indian groceries and our own Siddab brand food products to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, the Philippines and other international markets. We source large

volumes from suppliers across India, including Lott's Wholesale in Noida and other Delhi NCR

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive to own the complete purchase function independently. This is not an assistant role. You will be the sole purchase professional in the company, responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing all purchases across our product range. You will work from our Changodar office and coordinate closely with the warehouse, operations and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Source Indian grocery and FMCG products from suppliers across India.
• Get a minimum of 3 quotes per item and negotiate the best rate.
• Raise purchase requirements based on sales orders and stock levels.
• Coordinate with the Operations Support Executive to generate purchase orders.
• Follow up on delivery timelines and coordinate inward delivery with the Ahmedabad warehouse team.
• Visit local suppliers for quality checks and relationship building, and manage outstation suppliers (including Lott's Wholesale, Noida, and other Delhi NCR suppliers) by phone, WhatsApp and video call. Travel is required when needed.
• Maintain supplier relationships and onboard new suppliers when required.
• Share supplier payment schedules with the Finance Manager every Monday.
• Verify that invoices match purchase orders before payment is processed.
• Submit a weekly purchase report every Friday.
• Maintain accurate purchase records in the internal portal.

Requirements

Must have:

• Graduate in any stream
• 3 to 5 years of direct experience in purchase or procurement
• Experience in FMCG, food products, Indian grocery or a trading company
• Strong supplier negotiation skills, with experience negotiating independently
• Knowledge of Indian grocery brands such as MDH, Catch, Aashirvaad, Haldiram's, Amul, Daawat, Fortune and Pillsbury
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets and WhatsApp Business
• Good Hindi and Gujarati, plus basic English for internal communication
• Own two-wheeler or four-wheeler for supplier visits (compulsory)
• Ability to work independently without daily supervision

Good to have:

• Existing supplier relationships in the FMCG market
• Experience with export or import trading companies
• Familiarity with Tally or any ERP or portal system
