Job summary

Indra Shakti Ventures is seeking an Operations Executive – Logistics & Purchase to manage day-to-day purchasing, logistics, inventory, warehouse coordination, and vendor management.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in FMCG operations, strong coordination and follow-up skills, and the ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• FMCG experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in purchasing, vendor management, logistics, inventory, and warehouse coordination.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchase requirements for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other operational requirements.
• Source vendors, obtain quotations, and coordinate pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and track POs; negotiate terms with vendors.
• Coordinate daily dispatches, shipments, and transport with 3PL partners and warehouses.
• Prepare MIS reports for purchase, inventory, logistics, and dispatch.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Executive – Logistics & Purchase to manage day-to-day purchasing, logistics, inventory, warehouse coordination, and vendor management.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in FMCG operations , strong coordination and follow-up skills, and the ability to manage multiple activities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchase requirements for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other operational requirements.
• Source and coordinate with vendors for quotations, pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and track Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely fulfilment.
• Negotiate with vendors on pricing, payment terms, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain vendor database, purchase records, quotations, POs, invoices, and related documentation.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Logistics & Dispatch

• Coordinate daily dispatches, deliveries, and transportation requirements.
• Coordinate with transporters, 3PL partners, warehouses, distributors, and customers.
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery.
• Handle issues related to delays, shortages, damages, returns, and delivery discrepancies.
• Maintain dispatch records, delivery challans, invoices, PODs, and transportation documents.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency.

Operations & Coordination

• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Warehouse, Procurement, and other internal teams for smooth operations.
• Ensure timely fulfilment of sales and distribution requirements.
• Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports for purchase, inventory, logistics, and dispatch.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for all operational activities.
• Identify operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Support process improvements to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• FMCG experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in purchasing, vendor management, logistics, inventory, and warehouse coordination .
• Good understanding of FMCG supply chain and distribution processes.
• Strong follow-up, coordination, and negotiation skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets .
• Experience with ERP, inventory management, or accounting software will be an advantage.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Close attention to detail and strong execution skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in FMCG / D2C / Retail .
• Experience working with distributors, warehouses, transporters, and 3PL partners .
• Exposure to General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) operations.
• Understanding of inventory planning, stock reconciliation, and order fulfilment.
• Experience managing multiple vendors and logistics partners.
