Job summary

Sharda Motor Industries Ltd. in Maharashtra seeks a Manager/ Dy. Manager/ Asst. Manager - Corporate Purchase to lead sourcing strategy, supplier selection, and cost optimizations. Responsibilities include ensuring timely settlements, benchmarking, and supporting plant KPIs.

Ideal candidates have 8–17 years in Tier 1 automotive sourcing, with BE (Mech/Prod) and SAP/MS Office proficiency, and experience in managing large spends (Rs 100 Cr+). 5 Days week, on-site at Chakan.

Qualifications

• Min 8–17 years in a Tier 1 automotive sourcing/purchasing role.
• Managing spend of at least Rs 100 Cr; advantage if higher.
• Preference for stamping parts and exhaust experience.
• Team handling experience; age preference 8+ years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure commercial settlements for new programs (open POs) on time and at ZBC.
• Support plants in productivity, delivery, and PPM KPIs.
• Define sourcing strategy aligned with stakeholders.
• Track RM indexing and supplier PO amendments.
• Negotiate supplier price changes to optimal levels with price committee approval.
• Strengthen ZBC and benchmarking processes.
• Support quotes with competitive supplier pricing.
• Support flawless launches.
• Ensure supplier capacity meets SMIL business plan for 3 years.
• Report supplier financial risk annually.
• Deliver purchasing financials on cost and cash.

2. Actively support all plants in productivity, delivery, and PPM KPIs.

3. Define sourcing strategy and make alignment with all stake holders

5. Ensure supplier price changes are negotiated to optimal level and are approved by price committee.

6. Strengthen ZBC and benchmarking process.

7. Support customer quotes with competitive supplier pricing.

8. Support flawless launches.

9. Ensure right capacity is build at supplier end to meet SMIL business plan for next 3 years.

10. Conduct and report supplier financial risk every year.

Managing spend min Rs 100 Cr will be an added advantage.

Preference-Stamping Part and Exhaust experience.

Team handling-
