Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sourcing, supplier development, cost control, and quality compliance for parts in vehicle programs.
  • Identify, evaluate, and contract qualified suppliers for automotive components.
  • Align procurement timelines with engineering changes, BOMs, and production schedules using ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Production to understand specifications and product requirements.
  • Prepare purchasing budgets and BOM cost rollups.
  • Analyze proposals and terms to manage total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Monitor risks in projects and localization mandates affecting timelines and costs.
  • Create roadmaps, goals, and metrics aligned with company priorities.
  • Provide progress reports and dashboards to senior leaders.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

  • Coordinates the sourcing, supplier development, cost control, and quality compliance for parts required in vehicle manufacturing or assembly programs.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and contracting qualified suppliers for Automotive components.
  • Aligning procurement timelines with engineering design changes, Bill of Materials (BOM) updates, and production schedules using tools like integrated ERP platforms
  • Collaborate with R&D , Engineering and Production teams to thoroughly understand technical specifications, quality standards, and product requirements for automotive components.
  • Prepare Purchasing budgets, BOM cost Rollups.
  • Controlling the costs and developing cost optimisation models by analysing the technical proposals, and commercial terms Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model
  • Risk and Supply Chain Mitigation: Monitoring Purchasing projects , localization mandates, and department cost management and identify risks in project timeline and milestones.
  • Create clear program roadmaps, goals, and success metrics that match company priorities
  • Give clear progress reports, updates, and dashboards to senior leaders and Senior Management.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong skill in managing multiple timelines, budgets, and shifting priorities.
  • Relevant experience in Automotive OEM for management of automotive sourcing and development programs and vehicle launches.
  • Global exposure to automotive Industry and knowledge of Global costs and commodity trends.
  • Experience in Automotive parts development cycles in various commodities.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with team members and executives.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to notice roadblocks early and make smart, fast choices
  • High skill in advanced excel, ERP and MS projects/ Power BI
