SEERAJ GROUP is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background to lead procurement for heavy machinery, spare parts, capital equipment, and engineering materials supporting crane rental, logistics, and infrastructure operations.

The role requires 5–7 years of procurement experience, strong vendor management, and proficiency with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel. Travel to project sites will be required as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of procurement experience.
• Experience in Construction, Infrastructure, Heavy Equipment, Crane Rental, EPC, Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical components and heavy machinery.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of heavy machinery spare parts, mechanical components, lifting equipment, and engineering consumables.
• Develop and manage OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, and strategic vendors.
• Conduct commercial negotiations for pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules.
• Manage the complete Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, workshop, and project teams for procurement planning.
• Conduct technical evaluations of spare parts and equipment.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid operational downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize procurement costs.
• Conduct vendor audits and supplier performance evaluations.
• Generate procurement MIS, cost analysis, and vendor performance reports.
• Visit project sites when required for inspections and technical coordination.
