Talentiqa HR Consultants in Bilaspur is seeking a Project Purchase Manager to lead end-to-end procurement for electrical panels, cables, switchgear and related materials on large projects. You will source vendors, negotiate prices, track orders, and ensure timely delivery within budget and quality requirements.

The role requires 8–15 years of project procurement experience, with a diploma, B.Tech or MBA preferred, and a strong understanding of electrical materials.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma / B.Tech / MBA (preferred) with strong background in purchase & procurement of electrical materials.
• Experience: 8–15 years in project purchase with ability to independently manage procurement for large electrical projects.
• Product Knowledge: Cables & wires, HT/LT panels, busbar, switchgear and other electrical project materials.

Responsibilities

• Plan and control project-wise material procurement (cables & wires, panels, switchgear, busbar, HT/LT equipment).
• Identify, develop and manage vendor base ensuring quality and timely supply.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Coordinate with Project, Design, Production and Store teams to align purchase planning with timelines.
• Track and expedite purchase orders to avoid material shortages and delays.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain approved vendor lists for project materials.
• Control procurement costs and support budgeting with cost estimation and market analysis.
• Maintain purchase records, POs and documentation for audits.

Role Objective

our Client provides complete electrical solutions to its customers on large projects covering panels, cables & wires, switchgear, busbar and all associated materials required for project execution. The Project Purchase Manager will independently plan, control and manage end-to-end procurement of all such material for ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring the right material reaches site/plant at the right time, cost and quality.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and control complete project-wise material procurement cables & wires, panels & panel components, switchgear, busbar, HT/LT equipment and other electrical items as per project BOM and execution schedule.
• Identify, develop and manage a strong vendor/supplier base for all electrical project materials, ensuring reliable quality and timely supply.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality.
• Coordinate closely with Project, Design, Production and Store teams to align purchase planning with project timelines and site requirements.
• Track and expedite purchase orders to avoid material shortages or project delays; manage urgent/critical procurement for site requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance, resolve quality/delivery issues, and maintain approved vendor lists for panels, cables, and other project materials.
• Control procurement costs and support project budgeting through accurate material cost estimation and market rate analysis.
• Maintain proper purchase records, comparative statements, POs and documentation for audit and management review.
• Lead and guide the purchase team handling day-to-day procurement activities across multiple ongoing projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Diploma / B.Tech / MBA (preferred) with strong background in purchase & procurement of electrical materials.
• Experience: 815 years of experience in project purchase, with proven ability to independently manage procurement for large electrical projects.
• Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cables & wires, HT/LT panels, busbar, switchgear and other electrical project materials, along with their vendors and market rates.
• Commercial Skills: Proven negotiation, vendor management and cost-control skills.
• Execution: Ability to plan and control procurement across multiple simultaneous projects.
• Coordination: Strong coordination skills to work closely with Project, Design, Production and Site teams.

Key Deliverables

• Timely, cost-effective procurement of all project material cables, wires, panels and other electrical items.
• Zero project delays on account of material unavailability.
• Strong, reliable vendor base for all key project materials.
• Effective cost control and accurate purchase documentation.

Compensation: 600,000.00 - 800,000.00 per month
