Job summary

Savitri Techno Industries Limited in Gurugram is seeking a procurement professional to manage vendor development and purchase activities for furniture manufacturing. The role involves coordinating with Projects Head and departments to assess needs and ensure timely delivery and quality.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years in purchasing, strong negotiating and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with raw materials and fabrication items is required.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in a Purchase role (including vendor development).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).
• Experience in purchasing Raw Material, Fabrication items (Mandatory).
• Experience in furniture manufacturing industry enabling understanding of engineering products (Mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Projects Head & other department personnel to assess purchase needs.
• Develop new vendors, maintain vendor records, select vendors, and prepare vendor comparison statements.
• Manage POs, track performance, and maintain purchase records.
• Coordinate with Projects to confirm product delivery, installation & quality checks.
• Approve vendor bills and process vendor payments.

Role & responsibilities

• Communicating with Projects Head & other department personnel regularly, to assess purchase needs.
  
• New vendor development, maintaining vendor records & vendor selection (obtaining ations, negotiations & preparing vendor comparison statements).
  
• PO management - Generating POs where required, tracking PO performance & maintaining purchase records.
  
• Communicating with Projects to confirm product delivery, installation & quality check.
  
• Approving vendor bills and processing vendor payments.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate should be from a Furniture Manufacturing company.
  
• 4-6 years- experience in a Purchase role (including vendor development).
  
• Effective listening, communication (verbal and written) and outstanding negotiation skills.
  
• Strong commercial and financial acumen. Should be proactive & work well with little supervision.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).
