Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors for raw materials and parts.
• Evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, production capacity, reliability, and compliance history.
• Conduct supplier audits, plant visits, and manage RFPs/RFQs (Requests for Proposals/Quotations).
• Negotiate pricing, bulk discounts, payment terms, and SLAs with vendors.
• Drive continuous cost-reduction initiatives through supplier consolidation, alternative material sourcing, and market trend analysis.
• Safeguard company margins by keeping procurement expenses within the approved manufacturing budget.
• Collaborate closely with production, planning, and warehouse teams to forecast material requirements based on manufacturing schedules.
• Balance stock levels to prevent costly production stoppages (stockouts) or excess working capital tied up in unused inventory (overstocking).
• Oversee the generation, approval, dispatch, and tracking of purchase orders using ERP or procurement systems.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all orders, invoices, vendor contracts, and deliveries for auditing and compliance.
