Job summary

Accounting Baba in Surat is seeking an experienced Purchase Head / Procurement Manager to lead the organization’s purchase, procurement, vendor management, and inventory coordination. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, cost optimization, supplier management, and procurement analytics across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will oversee purchase planning, MIS reporting, and commercial negotiations while ensuring uninterrupted supply of materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 5–12 years of overall experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role as Purchase/Procurement Head or similar.
• Strong exposure to vendor management, commercial negotiations, procurement planning, inventory coordination, and procurement reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete Purchase & Procurement function.
• Develop and execute purchase planning based on operational requirements.
• Manage vendor identification, development, evaluation, and relationships.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials with quality and cost efficiency.
• Monitor procurement performance through MIS, analytics, and cost analysis.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to maintain material availability.
• Drive cost optimization and procurement efficiency.
• Maintain procurement documentation, purchase orders, and supplier records.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• 512 years of overall experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Purchase Manager, Procurement Manager, Purchase Head, or a similar leadership role.
• Strong exposure to vendor management, commercial negotiations, procurement planning, inventory coordination, and procurement reporting.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
