Job summary

Gajra Developers in Navi Mumbai is seeking an experienced Purchase Head to oversee procurement for real estate and construction projects. You will manage vendor networks, negotiate prices, plan material procurement, and ensure timely availability at sites.

This role requires 8–12 years in purchase and procurement within real estate or construction, with expertise in cost control, contracts, and ERP/MS Excel.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/Diploma/Graduate with relevant experience in Purchase & Procurement.
• Experience in Real Estate, Construction, Builders & Developers, or Infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall purchase and procurement activities.
• Plan and procure construction materials as per project requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.
• Compare quotations and prepare purchase orders.
• Coordinate with project/site teams to understand material requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, and pending materials.
• Maintain vendor records and evaluate vendor performance.
• Control procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure quality and specifications of materials are as required.
• Coordinate with Accounts for vendor payments and outstanding issues.
• Maintain proper purchase documentation and MIS reports.
• Handle procurement of civil, electrical, plumbing, finishing, and other construction materials.
