Job summary

Gem Engserv is seeking a Purchase Executive to lead procurement and material management for construction and interior fit-out projects in Mumbai. The role focuses on vendor development, purchase coordination, material tracking, and maintaining accurate inventory records across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in purchase/procurement, with strong knowledge of construction/interior fit-out materials, and excellent coordination and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate with 4+ years of relevant experience in purchase/procurement.
• Experience in construction/interior fit-out industry is mandatory/preferred.
• Hands-on procurement of interior fit-out materials will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vendor development: identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors; negotiate rates and terms.
• Vendor comparison & procurement: prepare comparison charts; evaluate prices, specs, quality and delivery.
• Site-wise material tracking: maintain records and coordinate with sites for timely delivery.
• Inventory management: maintain records and coordinate replenishment across sites.
• Purchase order management: track site-wise POs, deliveries and requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams to understand material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
• Maintain proper purchase and vendor documentation for easy tracking.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive with strong knowledge of procurement and material management in the construction and interior fit-out industry. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, purchase coordination, material tracking, inventory records, and site-wise purchase documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors for construction and interior fit-out materials. Maintain good relationships with existing vendors and negotiate for competitive rates and terms.
• Vendor Comparison & Procurement: Prepare detailed comparison charts for materials across different vendors. Compare prices, specifications, quality, delivery timelines, and other commercial terms to support purchase decisions.
• Site-Wise Material Tracking: Maintain and monitor records of materials supplied to each project/site. Coordinate with site teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of required materials.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory across all project sites. Monitor material availability and coordinate replenishment as required.
• Purchase Order Management: Maintain records of Purchase Orders (POs) generated site-wise. Ensure proper documentation and tracking of purchase orders, deliveries, and pending requirements.
• Coordinate with project/site teams to understand material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
• Maintain proper purchase and vendor documentation for easy tracking and reference.

Required Skills
