Job summary

Brakes India is looking for a professional to manage purchase activities for foundry raw materials in Chennai. You'll be responsible for material planning, creating purchase orders in SAP, and ensuring timely supplier deliveries.

The role requires strong negotiation skills and familiarity with quality systems like IATF and ISO 14001. Candidates should have the ability to develop alternate suppliers while monitoring price trends in the market.

Job description

To handle Purchase activities for Foundry Raw materials.

Material planning, Schedule release to suppliers and material procurement.

To Create Purchase Order in SAP .

To Monitor the Supplies periodically against the schedules.

Quality issues - To take it up with supplier and get the corrective action To work on continuous cost savings.

To develop alternate potential suppliers for Price, Quality and Delivery .

To have communication, Negotiation, Planning skill Price negotiation with suppliers and finalise the price.

To monitor Index for Major Raw materials price trend.

To understand technical requirements from plant for Capex items, negotiate with suppliers and prepare price workings.

To visit Suppliers for developments, material follow-ups,supplier Audits Interplants coordination for material purchase.

Packing items procurement and development .

To be Familiar with Quality systems like IATF, ISO 14001 and Energy Management systems.
