Solar-LIT is seeking a Purchase Engineer for on-site Gurugram to manage end-to-end procurement for solar and renewable energy projects. You will evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure timely, cost-effective material delivery while coordinating with project, engineering and finance teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Supply Chain/Business and strong ERP proficiency, with a focus on on-site collaboration and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes including vendor evaluation, sourcing, and procurement workflows.
• Experience in purchase management and planning for engineering or renewable energy projects.
• Ability to create, review, and manage purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Solid analytical skills to assess costs, compare quotations, and optimize procurement decisions.
• Familiarity with solar/renewable energy components, standards and project requirements.

The role involves managing sourcing activities, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating terms to ensure cost-effective, high-quality materials and services. The Purchase Engineer will prepare and track purchase orders, coordinate with project, engineering, and finance teams, and maintain accurate procurement documentation. Daily responsibilities include monitoring inventory and lead times, analyzing purchasing data, identifying process improvements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. The role also requires building strong vendor relationships and supporting timely project execution through proactive purchase planning.
