Job summary

Mangal Industries is seeking an Engineer - Purchase to coordinate with NPD and Engineering teams, driving supplier development and cost competitiveness while ensuring supply availability.

You will evaluate suppliers for quality, cost, capacity and delivery and monitor performance with KPIs; contribute to NPI, engineering changes and supplier audits to strengthen the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Ariba, procurement and supplier development.
• Strong vendor management and APQP knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MIS/documentation.
• Understanding of quality standards (IATF 16949 / ISO 14001) would help.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with NPD and Engineering to identify supplier development requirements.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, delivery and technical capabilities.
• Monitor supplier performance via scorecards and KPIs, and drive improvements.
• Release purchase orders via SAP/SAP Ariba and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering changes and supplier development activities.
• Define product acceptance and testing procedures with Engineering and Quality teams.

Engineer - Purchase

Job Description:

• Coordinate with NPD and Engineering teams to identify supplier development requirements and improve cost competitiveness and supply availability.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, delivery and technical capabilities.
• Assess supplier capabilities and ensure compliance with applicable IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and customer requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance through supplier scorecards, ratings and KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers and coordinate with Sourcing, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering changes, capacity studies and supplier development activities.
• Define product acceptance and testing procedures in coordination with Engineering and Quality teams.
• Drive improvements in supplier processes to improve quality, reduce waste, optimize cost and improve delivery performance.
• Provide technical support for supplier sourcing and development with focus on technology, quality, cost, logistics and delivery.
• Conduct new supplier validation audits and support supplier APQP activities.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to establish process parameters and ensure supplier process capability.
• Conduct benchmarking studies to identify best practices, new technologies and future trends.
• Release purchase orders through SAP/SAP Ariba, monitor pending orders, coordinate GRN processing and ensure timely supplier payments.
