Job summary

Electro Pneumatics and Hydraulics India Pvt Ltd is seeking a proactive Purchase Engineer to manage mechanical procurement for a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on sourcing gearboxes, bearings, motors, and related mechanical components while coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely material availability.

You will lead supplier development, negotiate terms, evaluate RFQs, and drive cost optimization, with familiarity in SAP MM and basic import procurement.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of mechanical procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of mechanical components and engineering raw materials.
• Experience in vendor development, sourcing, negotiation, and procurement processes.
• Basic knowledge of import procurement and SAP MM.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of mechanical items (gearboxes, bearings, couplings, motors, etc.).
• Purchase of engineering raw materials like steel plates, alloy steel, forgings, castings, and bars.
• Supplier sourcing, RFQs, quotations evaluation, negotiations, and PO finalization.
• Coordinate with internal teams for timely material availability and supplier follow-ups.
• Handle basic import procurement activities.
• Maintain procurement records and transactions in SAP.
• Drive cost reduction, alternate sourcing, and supplier improvement initiatives.
