Job summary

Samvith Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a Purchase Engineer with 3–6 years of EMS procurement experience to manage day-to-day purchasing and ensure on-time material availability for production. You will create POs, follow up with suppliers, and coordinate with Planning, Stores, Engineering and Quality teams to avoid production stoppages.

The role requires strong negotiation, MS Excel, and ERP/MRP knowledge, with a focus on ISO 9001/IATF 16949 compliance and effective supplier performance

Qualifications

• Must have BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–6 years experience in EMS procurement.
• Experience in supplier management and sourcing for electronic/electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchase activities for electronic & electrical components, mechanical parts, consumables, and other materials.
• Create and release Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved material requirements.
• Follow up with suppliers for PO confirmation, material availability, delivery schedules.
• Monitor open POs and ensure timely delivery of materials as per production requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding delayed deliveries, shortages, and pending materials.
• Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams for material requirements and delivery status.
• Monitor critical and shortage materials and take necessary follow-up actions to avoid production stoppages.
• Track supplier delivery performance and maintain purchase-related records and reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and timely closure of purchase orders.
• Support inventory and material availability requirements by ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
• Handle supplier issues and elevate critical matters to the concerned management.

Qualification and Experience level

B.E Mechanical Engineering

3-6 years of experience, in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer preferably in an EMS company. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day purchase activities, processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support production requirements

• Familiarity with RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and Environmental Compliance requirements.
• Understanding of Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Logistics Coordination, and Warehouse Operations.
• Experience in implementing Cost Reduction, Strategic Sourcing, Lean Supply Chain, and Risk Management practices.
