Job summary

TVS Electronics in Tumkur seeks a Senior Engineer for Electronics Procurement with 4–7 years of experience to lead procurement of electronic components for EMS projects. You will own the complete procure-to-pay cycle and collaborate with R&D, planning and suppliers to ensure timely material availability.

The role requires strong negotiation, supplier management and ERP experience (SAP/D365, Excel, PowerPoint). Based in Tumkur with an on-site work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Procure electronic components (Active, Passive, PCB, EM components) for EMS projects.

• Manage PTP cycle and coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth operations.
• Negotiate MOQs, prices, payment terms, and lead times with suppliers.
• Maintain supplier relationships to ensure material availability.
• Track open POs, follow up with vendors and freight, and share CTB with planning.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position / Business Title - Senior Engineer Electronics Procurement

Department - Sourcing & Procurement

Location - Tumkur

Experience - 4-7 yrs

Industry - Semiconductor / EMS

Job Responsibilities

1. Procurement of Electronic Components (Active, Passive, PCB, Electromechanical.etc) in an EMS industry servicing clients in Industrial, Aerospace, Defense, Medical, etc.,
2. Should have good contacts in the Electronics component manufacturing industry with manufacturers and distributors.
3. To be a part of a dynamic Supply Chain Management team and handle the complete Procure-to-Pay (PTP) Cycle.
4. Coordinate and support CFT and customer handling to ensure smooth functioning of Supply chain & operations.
5. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and delivery lead times with vendors.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with preferred suppliers to ensure continuous material availability.
7. Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers and freight forwarders to prevent production bottlenecks and share CTB to planning team.
8. Monitor inventory levels in alignment with production schedules and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to avoid shortages or excess stock
9. Coordinate with R&D team for NPD and Ability to suggest alternates, spot buy sourcing and buyer due diligence to cover shortages occurred.
10. Getting timely order confirmation from suppliers and maintaining 100% OTD.
11. Ensure parts are procured with quality and process payments on time to avoid shipment hold from suppliers.
12. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
13. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function and implement best practices.
14. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with assigned KPIs.
15. Ability to handle multiple projects and handling work pressure.
