Job summary

Samvith Technologies is seeking a Manager/Sr. Manager Sourcing to lead end-to-end procurement in a fast-paced EMS environment. The role requires BE in Electronics and 8-12 years of sourcing/procurement experience with strong supplier relationships and BOM cost discipline.

The incumbent will drive RFQ execution, supplier selection, localization, and risk mitigation while collaborating with Engineering for NPI and mass production readiness.

• EMS industry experience preferred.

Job description

Position : Manager / Sr. Manager Sourcing

Location: Doddaballapur Industrial Area, Bangalore Rural

Working: 6 days

Reporting to Supply Chain / VP Sourcing & SCM

Qualification and Experience level:

B.E. Engineering, preferably in Electronics.

8-12 years of experience in sourcing/procurement, and Supply Chain Management, preferably in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong experience in sourcing electronic components, mechanical parts, PCBAs, cable harnesses, electromechanical components, or related products.
• Experience dealing with semiconductor manufacturers, authorized distributors, and local/global suppliers.
• Strong commercial negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Good understanding of BOM costing, lead times, MOQ, capacity planning, and supply-chain risk management.
• Experience in NPI/NPD sourcing and mass-production procurement.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities / Critical tasks

1. RFQ TAT:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronic, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical components.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, technology, and capacity.
• Manage RFQs, commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and finalization of purchase terms.
• Drive localization and alternate-source development to reduce supply-chain risks.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, lead time, tooling/NRE, and other commercial conditions.

2. Supplier Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
• Monitor supplier performance on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCDS).
• Conduct regular supplier reviews and drive corrective actions for delivery and performance issues.
• Work with suppliers to improve lead times, capacity, allocation, and delivery commitments.
• Escalate and resolve critical supply issues proactively.

3. NPI / New Product Development

• Work closely with Engineering and NPI teams for sourcing components for new projects.
• Support BOM analysis, RFQ activities, sample procurement, prototype builds, and mass-production readiness.
• Identify suitable suppliers and alternates during the development stage.
• Ensure component availability as per project timelines.

4. Cost Optimization

• Drive annual cost-reduction initiatives and supplier negotiations.
• Analyze BOM costs, market trends, commodity movements, forex impact, and supplier pricing.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing, localization, VA/VE, volume consolidation, and commercial negotiations.
• Track and achieve agreed annual savings targets.

5. Supply Continuity & Risk Management

• Monitor long-lead-time and critical components and develop mitigation plans.
• Ensure adequate capacity and supply commitments against customer forecasts and firm orders.
• Develop alternate sources for single-source and high-risk components.
• Work with suppliers and authorized distributors/manufacturers to secure allocations during shortages.
• Support business continuity planning and supply-risk mitigation.

6. Commercial & Contract Management

• Negotiate payment terms, credit limits, MOQ, price validity, logistics terms, and other commercial conditions.
• Work with Finance to optimize working capital and supplier payment terms.
• Ensure purchase decisions are aligned with approved budgets and commercial targets.
