Job summary

Samvith Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a Manager/Sr. Manager - Purchase to lead procurement and supplier management in EMS projects.

The role focuses on driving cost reductions, ensuring timely material supply, and building strategic supplier partnerships. You will manage supplier selection, vendor development, contract negotiations, and collaborate with Planning, Production, Quality, and Finance to mitigate risks and optimize inventory.

Qualifications

• B.E. preferably in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Production/Electrical/related fields.
• 10–12 years experience in insourcing, procurement and SCM in EMS industry.
• At least 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Certification in SCM/CIPS is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier selection, vendor development, and contract negotiations.

• Drive cost optimization and inventory management initiatives.

Qualification and Experience level:

B.E preferably Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Production, Industrial engineering, Electronics engineering & related specialization.

Certification in Supply Chain Management/CIPS is an added advantage.

10-12 years of experience insourcing, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management, mandatorily in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.

At least 5+ years of managerial experience.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 requirements related to procurement and supplier management.
• Experience in Supplier Quality Management, Vendor Audits, and Supplier Performance Evaluation.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), MRP, and material planning processes.
• Familiarity with RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and Environmental Compliance requirements.
• Understanding of Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Logistics Coordination, and Warehouse Operations.
• Experience in implementing Cost Reduction, Strategic Sourcing, Lean Supply Chain, and Risk Management practices.
• Knowledge of supplier corrective action processes, quality management systems, and global sourcing practices.
• Ability to analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supplier performance for effective decision-making.
