Job summary

Forcas Impex in India is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to manage end-to-end purchasing and subcontracting activities. You will handle MRP-driven requirements, convert them into POs, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on ERP/MRP experience, strong Excel/MIS skills, and the ability to work closely with PPC, Stores, and Accounts to resolve discrepancies. Excellent coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Purchase/Procurement/Supply Chain in manufacturing.
• Hands-on ERP and MRP experience with PO creation and tracking.
• Exposure to subcontracting and job work processes desirable.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & MRP Execution

• Review MRP and purchase requirements in coordination with Materials / Purchase Manager.
• Convert approved requirements into Purchase Orders in the ERP.
• Ensure accuracy of quantities, specifications, rates, suppliers and delivery dates.
• Monitor open POs and identify overdue / critical materials.
• Highlight potential shortages and delays to PPC, Purchase Manager and senior procurement.

Subcontracting & Job Work

• Create and manage subcontract POs and Job Orders in the ERP.
• Coordinate movement of components to and from subcontractors.
• Track pending subcontract quantities and delivery commitments.
• Ensure correct component, process, quantity, rate and delivery date are recorded.
• Follow up on subcontracting delays and turnaround times.

Supplier Follow-up

• Follow up with suppliers for delivery against open POs.
• Maintain updated supplier delivery status and revised commitments.
• Coordinate with the junior buyer / expediting team for routine follow-ups.
• Escalate critical delays that may affect production.
• Ensure suppliers receive correct POs, drawings and specifications.

ERP & MIS

• Act as a key ERP user for the Purchase function.
• Ensure timely and accurate purchase, subcontracting and job-work transactions.
• Maintain accurate PO and supplier data.
• Coordinate with PPC, Stores and Accounts to resolve system discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain Open PO / Overdue PO, Material Shortage, Subcontracting Pending, Supplier Delivery Status,

PO Ageing and procurement MIS reports.

Coordination & Commercial Support

• Work closely with PPC to understand production priorities.
• Provide realistic supplier delivery commitments.
• Obtain quotations and prepare comparative statements when required.
• Coordinate with Purchase Manager for supplier selection and commercial negotiations.
• Assist in evaluating alternate suppliers and collecting supplier capability information.

Candidate Profile

Essential: 5+ years of experience in Purchase / Procurement / Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment; hands-on

experience with ERP and MRP; good understanding of Purchase Orders and procurement processes; experience in

subcontracting / job work preferred; understanding of engineering components, machining and manufacturing processes;

good Excel and MIS skills; strong follow-up, coordination and execution skills. Knowledge of sand castings will be

preferred.

Preferred Industry Experience:

Gearboxes / Power Transmission, Automotive / Auto Components, Valves, CNC Machining, General Engineering or Industrial Equipment. Experience with TCS iON ERP will be an advantage.Role & responsibilities
