Job summary

Johnson Controls in Pune (India) is seeking a Procurement Engineer to manage sourcing and procurement of mechanical and specialized engineering commodities, lead HVAC equipment sourcing, and drive supplier onboarding and performance management.

You will conduct cost analyses, negotiate contracts, and work with ERP systems and AutoCAD to support sourcing decisions. 1–3 years of mechanical engineering experience and BE/B.Tech required.

• Provide monthly savings data, TWC improvements and Open PO reviews.
• Maintain procurement records and audit documentation.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, MS Office, AutoCAD, engineering drawings, BOMs.
• Extract and analyze ERP reports for reviews and audits.
• Review technical specifications, P&IDs, GA drawings and BOMs.
• Source fabricated components, piping, ducting, sheet metal and mechanical assemblies.

What You Will Do

• Manage sourcing and procurement of mechanical, manufactured, fabricated and specialized engineering commodities.
• Lead procurement of HVAC equipment including ATU, HE, Fans, SWC, filtration systems, pumps, valves, compressors.
• Supplier onboarding, evaluation, qualification and performance management.
• Conduct cost analysis, value engineering and commercial negotiations.

How You Will Do It

• Work closely with the Procurement Manager and stakeholders to understand spend requirements, negotiate pricing and contracts, and deliver cost savings.
• Manage commercial and contractual interactions with suppliers and develop long-term supplier partnerships using market analysis and cost models.
• Utilize technical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Marine and Navy HVAC systems to support sourcing decisions.
