Job summary

Magna Metal & Mill Stores is seeking a Pump & Technical Sales Executive in Chandigarh to manage technical and commercial enquiries for pumps, motors and related equipment. The role involves understanding customer applications and selecting appropriate pump models, not just general sales.

The candidate should assess flow, head, pressure and operating conditions, recommend models, prepare quotations and coordinate with manufacturers as needed. Prior pump-industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/ITI in mechanical or electrical field preferred.
• Strong pump-industry experience may compensate for degree.
• Prior experience with pump dealers, distributors, or manufacturers is valued.
• Candidate should understand applications and select appropriate pump models.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Magna Metal & Mill Stores is hiring a Pump & Technical Sales Executive to handle technical and commercial enquiries for pumps, motors and related equipment.

The candidate should be able to understand customer applications and assist in selecting appropriate pump models rather than only handling generic sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries for pumps, motors and related products.
• Understand customer applications and technical requirements.
• Identify requirements such as flow, head, pressure and operating conditions.
• Recommend appropriate pump models and alternatives.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
• Handle enquiries from contractors, industries, OEMs, institutions and retail customers.
• Follow up quotations and convert enquiries into orders.
• Coordinate with pump manufacturers for technical selection where required.
• Compare available models and recommend appropriate options.
• Maintain knowledge of pump specifications, ranges and applications.
• Develop new pump customers.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers.
• Provide basic pre-sales technical assistance.
• Coordinate order processing and dispatch.
