Job Purpose (Significance of the role & Objectives)

We are looking for a prototype engineer who is responsible for creating prototypes of new products. These prototypes are used to test the design and functionality of a product before it goes into full production.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Working with other members of the engineering team to develop and test new product designs
• Participating in research and development activities to develop new engineering ideas or improve existing designs
• Evaluating new technology and materials to determine their potential applications in existing products or in new products; responsible for metal integration in the vehicle
• Will be responsible for add and subtract to any metal part in the stretchers design
• Conducting engineering tests on prototypes to measure performance against design specifications
• Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner
• Coordinating with other departments to ensure that the product can be manufactured efficiently and cost effectively

Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience

• Skilled in workshop with an experience in using power tools and measuring tools
• Ability to operate various machining-related tools (cutting, grinding, finishing, welding)
• In-depth understanding of prototyping, testing, homologation, and validation process
• Ability to read and interpret various 2D, 3D and line sketch drawings; ability to visualize the final product output
• Result-oriented/Goal driven
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, passionate about learning, and takes initiative with a problem-solving attitude
• Highest level of integrity (teamwork, confidentiality, ethics, and integrity are the pre-requisite for the role)
